Present day in the collection of the Kallos Gallery in London [https://kallosgallery.com/artworks] the item comes from the collection of Louis de Clercq (1882-1901, Paris). De Clercq acquired the medallion in the late 19th century, thence by descent to his grand-nephew Comte Henri de Boisgelin (1901 – 1967), rue de Mazarine, Paris.

Around the shield run two circular bands, the outer one wider than the other; no attachment hole.
In the field, a bust of Aphrodite is facing right, the arms appearing bare; the chiton ending at the neck with an embroidered band; the himation, which is decorated the same, is thrown like a shawl over the shoulders; the head (three-quarters right), face rounded, pupil of the eyes indicated; hair separated by a parting and topped with a diadem; on the left – a star; on the right – a crescent.
