Relief of  ‘Athedan, daughter of Bagadan, PAT 1781

It was acquired in 1995 at an auction in France, formerly belonged to the Broglio collection. Now in a private collection in Venice, Italy.

According to E. Cussini:
“She wears carefully drilled and detailed “dumbbell” type earrings with a horizontal crossbar and two pearl or bead pendants. Other pieces of jewelry are a string of pearls with a central amulet in the shape of an inverted crescent and a necklace with pearl-and-bar motif. Six folds mark the front of her tunic. To her left is a single shoulder lock. Her himation is fastened by a filigree trapezoidal [triangle] brooch, decorated by a small lion’s head”
