The cup, dated to the end of the 4th – first quarter of the 4rd century BCE, is a part of the inventory of a stone tomb, discovered in 1885 in the locality of Chereshak (Troshka) near Varbitsa, Shumen region.

Made of silver is partly gilded. Has dimensions: height 8.7 cm; mouth diameter 9.7 cm; weight 168.5 g 

 “Judging by the rich inventory of the tomb from Varbitsa, a high-ranking warrior is buried in it. Apart from the offensive and defensive armament, the elements of a banquet service testify to its belonging to the Thracian aristocracy.”  [source]
