Bracelets were made of a strap of metal tapering at the ends. A slightly stamped sheet metal was pierced in the middle and a box setting of the stone was soldered in this place [glass or stone, the museum does not specify], then the final shape of the bracelet was given.
Some earrings, diadems – headbands, and chin-straps were made of a sheet of gold in the same shape.
Bracelets from The Met are 1.2 cm at the widest point, which means that the original sheet metal strip is about 2.4 cm.
