In the publication: Lucian: On the Syrian Goddess, ed. by J. L. Lightfoot, Oxford University Press 2003, the statue is described as a “Statue of the Syrian Goddess from Tahtalikoyu.”

“A statue from Tahtalikoyu [Tahtali Koyu] on the Turkish-Syrian border, now in the museum at Gaziantep, reproduces Atargatis’ main features (Fig. 5 = LIMC loc. cit. no. 14), and it is on the basis of common features that other material from Dura Europos, Palmyra, and Hatra is identified as Atargatis” [pp. 16-17]
