Gold, medallion diam. 5 cm; diadem length: 62.2 cm; strap width: 0.9 cm
“from the investigation documents, these things came from predatory excavations in Anapa or in its environs. A golden funeral wreath in the form of a narrow ribbon with a clasp in the form of a loop and a hook, with trefoils inserted into the holes with embossed guard lines, is decorated with a round medallion riveted in the center.
On the round medallion in low relief there is an embossed image of a bust of the goddess in a tunic with a necklace with amphora-shaped pendants, a quiver behind the right shoulder and two half-figures of Eros on the sides. Below, under the image of the bust of the goddess, figures of animals are visible: a dog (or wolf) and an ungulate. The wreath in question is a relatively rare type of funeral decoration. Typologically, the closest parallel to it is the wreath from the Gorgippian crypt 11/1975, decorated in the center with a similarly fixed rectangular plate with an embossed image of a bust of a female deity.”
