Gold and garnets set of jewelry dated to the 5th-6th century has been turned in to Bulgaria’s National Museum of History in Sofia. The necklace is made of gold chain with Hercules knots, with the round filigree fastening. The beads in the center of the earrings are arranged in the shape of a cross.
“The National Museum of History took possession of archaeological artifacts after they were first discovered by chance and stolen from treasure hunters, and exhibited them to the public with scant evidence.” source
