Gold plaque, early Roman, Masada, Israel [d/b]

Gold plaque inlaid with four blue glass cabochons.
Dimensions: 7 x 5.5 cm

The holes on the corners of the plaque were used to attach it to fabric or leather. It could have been used as an adornment of a diadem / headband or a belt.

Early Roman period, from Masada, Israel.
